What does the activity include? A unique chance to join Jean-Christophe Novelli for the day at his 14th century farmhouse, now home to the Novelli Academy, voted amongst the top 25 cookery schools in the World.
This one day intensive and instructive course is hosted by Jean-Christophe Novelli himself, the Michelin and 5AA Rosette award winning chef has a wealth of other prestigious accolades to his name so you will certainly be in the best hands. Jean-Christophe will work with you in creating a specially designed menu. His passion for food and creative excellence is passed on at every opportunity as you learn how to select flavours and seasonings and work with some of the finest ingredients available.
The day is very relaxed and informal as the aim is to make cookery and wine appreciation accessible to everyone. Jean-Christophe is with you throughout the day and is a fantastic entertainer, gregarious in nature and has an enormous sense of fun that is not only contagious but instantly puts everybody at ease, we guarantee to make this a day you will never forget.

Where does the experience take place? The experience takes place at the Novelli Academy in Hertfordshire.
How long should I allow for this experience? Courses usually start at 11am and finish at 6pm, kindly note these timings are approximate and subject to change. Doors open approximately 30 minutes prior to the start time – it is requested that customers do not arrive any earlier than this, so that the Academy team can complete their preparations.
When does the activity take place? Courses are held on selected dates throughout the year.
We recommend you book at least eight weeks in advance to ensure that dates are available before the expiry date listed on the voucher. This is only a guideline and we advise you book as early as possible to avoid disappointment. You must book and take your experience before the expiry date. All bookings are subject to availability.
Are there any restrictions? Minimum age 18 years.
Participants must be able to stand up for a reasonable length of time whilst participating in practical work.
What about the weather? The weather will not affect this experience.
Can I bring spectators? Sorry, all guests must hold a valid voucher for the experience
What else do I need to know? Kindly note that this course is a combination of demonstration and hands on participation.
Lunch and beverages are included. You will need to advise of any food allergies or special requirements at the time of booking.
Unfortunately there is no disabled access on site as it has not been possible to modify the 14th century listed building.
