The Ecclesbourne Valley is situated in Derbyshire’s Gentle Valley, stretching from the northern outskirts of Derby to the delightful town of Wirksworth, gateway to the Peak District. You will spend the day with an experienced train driver, learning how to prepare the train to run and watching the train embark on the first journey of the day from the front car. You may enjoy lunch in the buffet car with up to three guests of your choice. To round off the day you will assist with putting the train away for the night.
You will spend the day on the day with an experienced train driver. After a safety briefing in the morning you will enjoy a morning of riding in the front car with the driver. You will then have a buffet lunch in one of the train cars with up to three of your own guests. In the afternoon you will continue driving in the front car alongside the driver. To finish off the day you will help pack away the train for the night.

On purchasing this experience you will be given a voucher valid for 10 months. Participants must be over 18 years of age and must be reasonably fit and in good health. Stout footwear is recommended. Participants may not consume any alcohol on the day of the experience. You may bring along up to three guests who may enjoy with you in the buffet car and can watch you drive the train.
