Enjoy a half day course with birds of prey in the Old Warden Park
The falconry has had 50 years of experience in falconry and now houses 300 birds of different species ranging from eagles to pelicans. With this experience you will have a guided tour of the centre where you have the opportunity to ask the experienced falconers any questions you have about the birds and the falconry. You will learn some falconry skills and even get the chance to fly a bird to the fist. Not only will you increase your falconry knowledge you will have an amazing experience.
Your experience will start with you on a guided tour where you will meet the falconer and some of the birds housed at the centre. You will learn about the species of birds, there characteristics, dietary needs and personalities. Then its your chance for some hands-on fun where you will be flying some birds and learning the art of falconer knots. You will have plenty of photo opportunities, so don’t forget your camera. The experience will last for around 3 hours.
