Spend half a day handling flying and learning about birds of prey
The falconry is located in the New Forest National Park, which provides a beautiful and ideal area to fly the many birds housed in this centre. This half day course starts with you meeting the aviary and flying birds at the centre as well as the experienced falconer. You will then have a completely hands on experience where you will learn how to handle and fly an owl and a Harris Hawk. This is a fantastic experience for anyone interested in birds.
Your experience starts with an informative tour of the centre where you will see the variety of birds of prey close up and learn all about their different characteristics, speed capabilities and hunting habits. After that, you will have the chance to fly an owl and a Harris Hawk to the fist under the watchful eye of the trainer. Finally there will be plenty of photo opportunities to capture a truly unforgettable experience. You will be at there for approximately 3 hours in total.
