A one-day course in sugarwork, specifically designed for those with an artistic and decorative flair!
A sugar decoration really adds the wow-factor to any desert or confectionery creation. Join celebrity Chef Nigel Brown at his home in North Lincolnshire for this one day class, during which you will learn the art of poured and boiled sugarwork. Discover how to make perfect sugar spirals and candy baskets, praline and coloured sugar decorations and fantastic petit-four display centre pieces. Also included is a lesson on pastillage where you’ll make a beautiful petit-four box for chocolates or truffles. Once you have completed your master class you will be sure to impress friends and family with your new presentation skills!
The class begins at 10.00am. Upon arrival you will be served coffee and biscuits and given an introduction to sugarwork and the recipes that will be used in the class, before moving to the kitchen to begin your hands-on class with Chef Nigel Brown. Refreshments will be served throughout the day. The package includes lunch with wine. You will also receive an Academy apron and recipe booklet to take home with you. The day ends at approximately 3.30pm-4.00pm. There is a maximum class size of 6 to ensure you get the individual attention you deserve.

On purchasing this experience you will be sent a voucher valid for ten months for one person. You are then free to contact the cookery school to arrange the date for your course. Courses run on selected days throughout the year. Courses are suitable for anyone over the age of eighteen and no previous experience is necessary. The course itinerary is intended as a guide only and subject to change without notice. You are advised to book well in advance to avoid disappointment. There will be a minimum of 4 and maximum of 6 participants per course. Please advise of any food allergies or special dietary requirements upon booking. Once booked, dates are non refundable and non exchangeable.
