What does the activity include? Each session will begin with a safety briefing and tuition. You will be provided with the raft, helmets, buoyancy aids, paddles, instruction and all safety equipment you will need.
Where does the experience take place? West Bridgford in Nottingham and Perthshire
What should I wear? Swimming costume & suitable footwear. Long sleeve & full leg clothing are best suited to this experience. Also, bring a towel - you WILL get wet!
How long should I allow for this experience? Each session will last for around 2 hours.
When does the activity take place? Weekday or weekend courses are available between March and October.
Are there any restrictions? Minimum age 18. Maximum weight 15 stone per person. Participants need to be able to swim and be water confident. As with all watersports, minor cuts & abrasions must be covered with a waterproof plaster.
What about the weather? The weather will not normally be cause for cancellation of this experience. However water levels may, if the event is cancelled due to weather conditions or water levels you will be advised at the earliest opportunity and a further date will be offered to you.
Can I bring spectators? Spectators are welcome and cameras are essential!
What else do I need to know? Wetsuit hire costs £5 and must be booked in advance with the centre. At Nottingham, lockers are available in the changing rooms operated by a refundable £1 coin. There is a cafeteria on site at each location which is open from 9am to 5pm. Please arrive at the centre 30 minutes prior to your start time. Personal Accident Insurance is included for the voucher holder.
