Tank Driving Thrill in Leicestershire - £85 A fantastic tank driving experience – drive a 17-ton FV432 tank! This great tank driving experience gives you the opportunity to live out those boyhood fantasies as you learn how to drive 17 tons of hardened steel! You'll quickly learn the basics from an experienced instructor. Once you've got to grips with piloting the beast, it's time to try tackling the obstacle course, with hatches open and your head out. Military Vehicle Driving (half day) - £179 Get in the driving seat of a selection of heavy duty military vehicles, including Armoured Personnel Carriers, Sultan command vehicles and Chieftain Tanks! You wear a helmet and take control of a pair of levers to drive your way across battlefields like a veteran corps commander. Steering these behemoths can be hard but don’t worry as an expert instructor will be on hand to assist you! Following registration you will be transported by military vehicle to the driving area. Before you get to try your hand at the real thing you will receive instructions and a safety briefing from expert instructors. Vehicles vary by chosen location but you will drive: an Abbot Tank, a Chieftain Main Battle Tank, an Armoured Personnel Carrier, 250cc Honda Quad Bikes, American Humvees, a Stalwart 6 Wheel Drive, a Pinzgauer 6 wheel drive all terrain troop carrier, Sultan command vehicle, Snowcat, a Bedford MJ 4x4 truck or a 4x4 Land Rover. Expect to drive each vehicle over rough and challenging terrain for about 10 minutes. Programmes, timings and vehicles will vary slightly depending on the location. Military Vehicle Driving Experience - £191 You will learn to take command of an Armoured Personnel Carrier, Army Landrover or Hagglund at this great location in Leicestershire. Your instructor will put you through your paces as you helmet up for an hour in each of them and get behind the wheel for a truly challenging experience. Put your driving skills to the test on the battlefield in these heavy duty military vehicles. Tank Driving Experience - £195 Drive a Chieftain tank, Abbot SPG, Armoured Personnel Carrier and a quad bike. Introductory Tank Driving - £199 Indulge the soldier in you on session filled with the military's latest toys. After receiving a safety briefing you will take to the controls of three magnificent military vehicles, before getting to observe one side show. Depending on which is available, this could be a look at the weapons inside the armoury or a SAS woodland patrol experience. Participants will drive a 432 Personnel Carrier, a Russian Gvozdika tank and either a Humvee (as featured in the film Black Hawk Down) or Lance Missile Carrier. At the end of the experience, the best driver on the day has the opportunity to crush a car with a 56 ton Chieftain tank! Attend a briefing about modern terrorism and then compete at SAS skills in the woods. The Full Monty Day's winner gets the chance to balance a 56ton Chieftain Main Battle Tank on top of a family saloon car!
